Testimonials

Every family has a unique story. These are shared moments of growth, patience, and the small victories that light the way for our community.

When we first began our sessions with Louise my daughter, Emma, struggled to focus and complete basic tasks, and I felt completely powerless to help her. But working with Louise, Emma began showing gradual progress in her ability to concentrate and in her communication. Although Emma is non-verbal, she has now found her ‘voice’ and learned to communicate using PECS picture cards and she can now make choices and ask for what she wants for the first time!

Each session was carefully planned, and the targets were tailored to Emma’s individual strengths (and her stubborn personality!). Louise created a calm learning environment that made learning relaxing and fun for Emma.

But what meant just as much was the support I received as a Mum. After receiving an Autism diagnosis, you are sent away with no support and left to feel completely helpless. Louise understood all the struggles we had been going through and gave us hope!

I can’t thank Louise enough for the patience and expertise she’s shared with us.

Behavioural Therapist for Children with Autism

Louise was an absolute gem of a find. She went above and beyond to support my son who is ASD to develop his communication and social skills. Louise is a kind, compassionate and understanding tutor who genuinely cared about helping our son. She understood his difficulties and was creative in her work to support his needs. Engaging with our son isn’t always easy but Louise formed a bond with him and was able to engage with him and as a result she was able to teach him so that he could learn. She understood his difficulties and had the skill set required to manage behaviours effectively. Without a doubt I would recommend Louise to other parents- she was always l professional, trustworthy and hard working.

I had the pleasure of working with Louise from 2015-2017. Having come from a corporate background, this was my first experience of the ABA world and Louise was an excellent teacher. She was extremely kind, efficient and organised, as well as being highly creative with any materials she designed. I have great memories of working with her and I know that she would be a wonderful asset to any family embarking on a similar journey.

Inspiring Calm and Confidence for Every Child

At Flamingo Steps, we provide nurturing child care that meets each child's individual needs. Our specialised assistance fosters growth and joy in a calm environment designed for comfort and security.

My Approach

When meeting a new family, I take time to listen carefully to their autism journey and recognise how emotional and overwhelming this experience can sometimes feel. I aim to provide a warm, calm, and non-judgemental environment where families feel heard, supported and comfortable sharing their concerns.

Together, we can explore future goals and identify meaningful targets that reflect the individual needs of the child and family. I strongly believe in a holistic approach and value the importance of working collaboratively and consistently with everyone involved in the child's support network. Working together, we can encourage small but positive steps that build confidence, promote progress and help each child reach their full potential.
